Mitsuru was busy as always. Aigis remembered not spending too much time with her in the past (in comparison to SEES members of her year level, for example) as the redhead was either busy being president of the student council or studying. On the latter part of the year, university examinations as well as preparations in order to take over the Kirijo group kept her quite preoccupied.
Nonetheless, she was still a very valuable companion to Aigis. It was almost always Mitsuru who helped Aigis out, such as taking charge when she needed repairs in the lab, as well as arranging her return to Gekkoukan High. Mitsuru was definitely more than just a woman with a strong personality. Aigis was very happy to be able to meet a valuable friend again.
“You should drop by more often, Mitsuru-san,” Aigis said, a warm, nostalgic tone in her voice, “I am sure the others would be thrilled to see you as well,”
Hearing Aigis’ tone made the woman smile, “I suppose I should,” she said, before blinking a few times, “I am not quite sure that the others would be, but it seems like they were quite surprised by my presence,” she chuckled lightly. “Thank you for the offer, Aigis.”
Really, the girl— even though she was a robot… Was beyond a personality. She developed almost as a person, starting off as an emotionless powerhouse, but turned into someone with a sweet disposition, though she still recognizes her duty as a robot… And she learnt how it felt to live.
A feeling in Mitsuru’s heart began to blossom, she had to admit seeing Aigis gave her nostalgia. It was almost too much to handle at times. Last time being in the dorm used to give her the feeling, but now, seeing Aigis… It simply made the situation hardly bearable. They had to go through quite a lot, she had to agree with herself on that.
And being forced to move on… Well, Mitsuru was one who seemed like it was easy to do, but no.

Beyond Barriers
It’s been about a week since his arrival in this place. Every night, he was experiencing this strange trance that would mostly last an hour. The aura would be heavy and he can find himself almost unable to move. But as time passed, he slowly was starting to adapt to the strange hour.
This time, he decided to take a walk, see what this hour is all about. A hidden hour in between days. It’s as if he saw the world in a stranger light. And another new world. There were coffins, coffins everywhere.
“What is this?” He felt something big was coming. He was also wondering what kind of hour he had stepped into.
It was that time. She had always thought that they would end. Lately though, she had to admit that the Dark Hour itself was… A little odd. Was it connected to another realm? It seemed like strange Shadows have been showing themselves as well, though it didn’t seem like they were anything similar to the ones they had to face in the past.
Mitsuru was walking outside the dorm, before she noticed a person walking— to which she wondered if they had the potential. To say that anyone could have Apathy Syndrome were almost nil, the disease had gone away; or so she hoped. But it was true— there were no more victims of the disease.
Hearing the man question, she quietly walked towards him. It was dark and the moon was half-full… It seemed like if Tartarus still existed they would have to be careful because then Tartarus would be unstable. “It’s the Dark Hour,” she said, before continuing, “I hope you’re not human.”
Laurel finally cracks a full fledged smile at the Empress. She watches the gestures indicating for her to get onto the motorcycle along with Mitsuru, assuming this was a device of transportation, and follows suite. She gets upon the remaining seat, wobbling a bit, keeping her hands to herself instead of around Mitsuru, ignorant to the fact that if she doesn’t hold onto something, she might fall.
“I was merely unimpressed by their lack of courtesy. I believe it’s only human to want to protect someone you care about…” She stopped herself and looked away.
She just admitted to caring about Mitsuru, a complete stranger. Why did she feel this way? She wondered about it for less than a moment but shook her head and laughed.
“Yes, someone I care about. Someone who’s shown me nothing but kindness, today.” her face becomes slightly flush. “Thank you for being so patient with me… To be honest, I am really ignorant about the world and it’s simplicities… ” she confessed. “Master hadn’t really allowed me to leave on my own…”
She blinked and scratched her cheek with a single finger… “…What exactly is this device… It looks rather complex to handle…”
Remembering that Laurel lacked the knowledge that she might fall off the motorcycle, Mitsuru sighed before saying, “I suppose it is much safer if you could hold the end of the motorcycle, or to just hold on to me. Please do not hesitate to do so as it is one of the pre-cautions when it comes to safety on the motorcycle,” she said firmly, before actually moving the motorcycle; heading towards the city.
She listened to what Laurel had to say before smiling, “It is not only the people of the facility, but also the people outside. It depends on their upbringing,” judging from Laurel’s thought of them, it was pretty obvious that she was raised in a rather sheltered manner just as Mitsuru was. She nodded lightly at this, hoping that they were at least able to arrive in the city safely.
The redhead raised a brow at the other girl’s statement though, “The person you care about…” she whispered to herself. It seemed as though lately Mitsuru realized… That she hadn’t been feeling fond or affection towards anybody. She wondered if it really was… Cold-hearted of her to think of that. “Thank you, Laurel. I’ve promised to take care of you, and you in turn have taken care of me— in a sense,” she blushed at this— knowing that she herself was sensitive when it came to being protected. “You shouldn’t feel indebted, though I’d like to know who’s Master?”
The question still lingered as she remembered the girl mentioning about this Master earlier on. “Oh this? It’s a motorcycle. It’s not all that complicated but you need to learn how to control it.”
“… You’re quite the odd one.”
